Thank You!
Dear Friends:
After a spirited campaign, I am pleased to be elected to one of the two seats on the Menlo Park Fire Protection Board. I am humbled by the support shown to me by the voters within our fire district and undertake this responsibility seriously and with an open mind. I promise to represent all of us to ensure that our tax dollars are spent wisely and to keep the essential services on which we depend and rely. Thank you for placing your confidence in me.
Congratulations to Scott Barnum, Steve Kennedy, Rob Silano, and Bart Spencer for mounting viable campaigns. They proved that electing representatives to an office as impactful as a local fire board can truly be competitive. Many thanks to all the friends and neighbors who supported my campaign -- even if you don’t live in the fire district! I was honored and blessed to have had the broadest coalition of community support. A heartfelt thank-you goes to my husband, Ken, and my family. Their constant encouragement and support were tremendous!
As always, my door is open. I hope to hear from you about our fire district as we undertake budget challenges and reach out to our community more frequently. Thank you again for placing your confidence in me. It will be my honor to serve as your Director on our fire board.
Sincerely,
Virginia Chang Kiraly
