VIRGINIA CHANG KIRALY FOR ASSEMBLY EARNS ENDORSEMENT FROM CALIFORNIA METALS COALTION

MENLO PARK – Virginia Chang Kiraly, the Republican Nominee for State Assembly, District 21, is pleased to announce that the California Metals Coalition has endorsed her campaign for State Assembly.

“CMC believes that Ms. Kiraly’s collaborative work style with the private and public sectors is what the future of California needs. That is why we endorsed her candidacy,” stated James Simonelli, CMC Executive Director. “California’s metalworking industry manufactures intricate metal parts that are used in the machines that create circuit boards, in our airplanes and cars, and to defend our nation. The industry also relies on CAD/CAM software to create the tooling and patterns that makes these important metal parts.”

California’s metalworking industry also provides some of the best blue-collar jobs in the state. CMC members compensate their employees with high-wages and benefits. CMC’s strong manufacturing salary base allows employees to work their way to the middle class, purchase a home, invest in California, and send their children to college. Additionally, the metalworking industry in California creates work for suppliers, distributors, vendors, and shippers of metal products.

“I am honored to receive CMC’s endorsement,” Chang Kiraly said. “The manufacturing sector is important to California’s economy, and CMC ensures that metalworkers continue to be an active part of our economy. CMC is also bridging business, technology, and the environment, and that is the right direction in which Silicon Valley should move.”

Virginia Chang Kiraly is the Republican State Assembly Candidate for the California Legislature in Assembly District 21, which includes the communities of Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, Portola Valley, San Carlos, Woodside, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, and Almaden Valley in San Jose. A Menlo Park resident, Virginia is a former board member of The Tech Museum of Innovation, Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), Las Lomitas Education Foundation, and past PTA President of Las Lomitas Elementary School. She is currently on the board of the Friends of the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, Cultural Initiatives Silicon Valley, and the Las Lomitas PTA.
