Palo Alto Weekly interview about Virginia and public-nonprofit partnerships
On July 5, the Palo Alto Weekly published its article about public-nonprofit partnerships, including a segment for which Virginia was interviewed about the Friends of the PA Jr. Museum & Zoo (JMZ). As a Friends board member, Virginia has continuously worked with the City of Palo Alto to create a lasting public-nonprofit partnership whereby the Friends, a nonprofit group, will eventually run the operations of the JMZ. There are many benefits to this-- the most important being that the children in our communities will have access to top-quality science education programs either at the JMZ or in the classroom at schools.
