Public-private/nonprofit partnerships will help relieve the financial burdens of government and provide revenue enhancements

Last week, I was interviewed the by the Palo Alto Weekly about the Friends of the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo (of which I am a board member) and the public-nonprofit partnership between us and the City of Palo Alto. The article is published in today’s edition of the Weekly, and it highlighted the challenges of financially supporting these cherished organizations as the cost of government continues to increase.

With unfunded liabilities still being a best estimate and pension costs continuing to surge upwards, we have no choice but to manage the cost of government. Here are a few articles about Menlo Park and Palo Alto that talk about the increasing cost of government.
