June 22, 2006 - Dinner with Duf & Ron
California Republican Party Chairman & Vice Chairman endorse my candidacy!
Duf Sundheim, Chairman of the California Republican Party, is one of the hardest working individuals I have had the pleasure to meet. He is smart, caring, and articulate. Under his leadership, the California Republican Party is more unified and geared toward the real world. Duf cares about getting Republicans elected, but he also cares about getting the best candidates elected. He always has good things to say about political leaders he respects, despite their party affiliation.
As a Palo Altan, Duf lives in the district I will represent. He and I had a great talk about what concerns he had as a Californian living in AD 21, and his concerns were no different from others I have spoken with regardless of whether they're a Democrat or a Republican. As I've said, AD 21 needs common sense leadership-- for a change, and I will provide that when I get to Sacramento. At the beginning of my campaign, Duf endorsed my candidacy, and I feel very honored to have earned his endorsement.
Ron Nehring, Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party, is Duf’s right-hand man. He is as hard-working and caring as Duf. While Ron is from San Diego, he and I have discussed how to make the California Republican Party better as I am also a delegate to the state party, representing San Mateo County. Ron’s commitment to bringing balance and common sense leadership to California is undisputed, and I am proud to also have his endorsement.
